The DEPRESSION EVALUATION SERVICE (DES) conducts studies of depression with antidepressant medication, offering eligible participants a free psychiatric evaluation and treatment of depressive disorders within the context of research studies. All research subjects must read and sign a consent form that describes the study procedures, risks, and potential benefits in detail. Symptoms of Depression

Loss of interest or pleasure in activities you used to enjoy, such as hobbies or sex
Feeling unusually sad or irritable
Sleep disturbance, e.g. trouble falling asleep, waking too early, or oversleeping
Difficulty thinking, concentrating, or making decisions
Changes in appetite or weight (increased or decreased)
